Do MIM parts rust?

On early stainless 64's the stainless alloy wasn't "perfected" yet and the hammers and triggers were sticking or galling.S&W went to flash chroming and never changed back to SS for the parts.

I think you meant model 60's. Those are the guns that had the galling problem.

The ones carried inside the waistband in humid states will rust like boat anchors.

Yes they will. I had to make sure that all officers removed the grips from their guns when cleaning, to make sure there was no rust under the grips from sweating or other moisture such as rain. The "stainless" guns will definitely rust if not taken care of.
