Do you carry when you are edging your lawn?

I carry pretty much all the time I legally can; so yes, while mowing, edging, grilling, etc.

I don't edge my lawn. My neighbor's kid mows mine but he doesn't edge either.

However, if I am doing yard work I don't carry. I also don't carry at home.

Worked some cases where the thugs would catch
a older dude mowing the yard.
Walk him to the house at gunpoint and
ransack the house.
Tie the victim up. Disable the phone.
Last but not least...take the riding mower.

When caught and asked about the MO they advised.
No alarms no dogs....always got some cash.
The riding mowers got them busted.

Since I generally sweat like a fat pig in the Texas summer when edging or mowing, I don't often subject my carry guns to such abuse. I realize it is a mistake on my part in not being prepared at such times, but it is one of the very few times I do not carry.

Since calamity typically surprises a person when they least expect it, I probably should rethink my position on carrying while edging or mowing.

A guy I work with, a Lieutenant with the police department, learned the hard way that he should carry while edging.

Had a random couple of thugs drive up his driveway to try to make their way to his buildings behind his house. Likely with the intent to break in thinking nobody was home. He had to confront them unarmed and one pulled a knife. He had to run away since he was unarmed. He tells the story and admits he thought he was going to be killed over the confrontation. He now carries everywhere on his property.

Same here. I thought about not carrying as often, then, if there's a problem, just asking the bad guy to give me a minute to get my S&W, but am not sure how well that would go over.
