My wife is totally into it and she spends a LOT of time on both plus frontierville. It's like the new way of life. I kind of think it sucks a bit but I'm getting use to it. It seems to keep her happy and intertained. I don't know how my parents and grand parents and great grandparents lived without facebook and farmville!? Oh yeah, THEY WERE TO DARN BUSY WORKING THEIR TAILS OFF ON THE FARM!!

Such is life these days. :) It took me some getten used to and we had a few battles but all is ok now.

A high school classmate of mine got me into Facebook last year before our 25 year reunion. (Which took place 26 years after we graduated, we were always procrastinators). It's nice to be in touch with people I haven't seen in all those years, but I think it's totally narcissistic. People will post their EVERY activity throughout the day. I don't know why they think that interests people, but what the heck, whatever floats their boat. My Wife immediately thought I was trying to keep in touch with all my old girlfriends. None of them are my "friends" on Facebook. A few tried , but I promised the Missus I would tell her when that happened. I did, she said no. Case closed. I don't check it very often, but it can be mildly interesting.
One warning. Don't post anything on there (or on here for that matter) that you don't want to live forever. As a Private Investigator I have worked cases where Facebook was an issue. It is very big in infidelity cases. Think twice before you post.:)

I'm on FB and got caught up in Farmtown because of one relative. I started the Farmville app b/c of another, but have turned them all off, as they slow my machine down.

There's nothing about me on FB that you can't find elsewhere online. I married my sweetheart and am faithful to her. :) (Former PI here.)

I do S&W forum. I'm on facebook, but my heart is not into it. Old friends, however, our priceless and I've gotten reestablished with several because of facebook. No complaints, just I prefer the Forum.

Even if you had my full middle name, there is only ONE thing you can find if you Google me. (a Professional publication, work related)

No personal information of ANY kind.

I intend to keep it that way.:D

I post on S&W forum and a few other places, but always with a screen name.

I'm sure with a search warrant some or all of it could be traced back to me....but it would take weeks, with cooperation from my ISP.

If I'm even in enough trouble where some LE agency has warrants to check my on-line activity, the little that they will find will be the LEAST of my problems.

Face book is a great place to find old friends, but that kind of thing isn't always a wise thing to do. The games are a complete waste of time Zynga, the company that creates those game has figured out a way to hypnotize people into playing those games for hours. Everything you upload onto FB becomes FB property, and companies pay top dollar to place ad's on that site. Some kids nowadays prefer to FB each other as opposed going somewhere (outside). There's people that have gone as far as committing suicide because of some FB bs. I use FB but probably not more than an hour a month. It's nice having an old friend/girlfriend an email away but then again there might be a good reason I stopped associating with them before FB.

I have an account, and I used to play some of the games, but I would rather hang out here.

Sorry if it offends anyone, but . . . >PERSONAL OPINION WARNING< . . . I know folks who do that and I find it to be an insipid monumental waste of time and electrons.

Of course, there will no doubt be those who would view my time here in the same way though we all know they are wrong. . .:p

Having a Facebook page can be grounds for discharge from the firm I work for... so, no I do not have one. I'm on several shooting boards, but, that's the extent of my "social networking."

No Facebook or Farmville for me. I don't text or even click on You Tube. I don't even Google because of all the data gathering that Google does. I use a different search engine. I never could figure out why anyone would put personal information on the WWW.

My time is limited. I have my hands full pastoring two churches and keeping up with family responsibilities. What spare time I have I spend with my wife or I enjoy time at the range. FB & F are probably good for those who enjoy it. But there is a limit to the time one can spend with such things. JMHO. Sincerely.

If I want to "friend" someone, I'll go over, help 'em stack a load of firewood, or ask 'em in for a cup of coffee. Can't see how it has to do with clicking a button on a computer screen. I spend time here; that's it.

I have a Facebook account but never go there anymore. One day I checked it and I had over 120 friends requests. Best I could tell, it involved some mafia game which, I'm sure, motivated people I've never met or heard of, to try and get lots of friends. The few friends I have connected with have only been on there long enough to say "Hi, how you doing", then I rarely hear from them, so I just don't bother with it anymore.

I have an account on FB and have alot of old friends from high school that I talk to occasionally. Don't do the Farmville thing or the requests
or causes, too many viruses in those things I've heard. Can see where it would take too much valuable time away. It can get monotonous after awhile, too. Too many people putting on too much worthless info.that nobody cares about. Found an old girlfriend on there, but didn't contact. Decided it was too risky since I hadn't seen her in years and didn't know much about what she'd been into or how her life turned out. Tread carefully in these areas!
