While I have to carry a semi-auto for work, I have seen myself go through phases that I am sure that others do as well. Sometimes I think that I need to switch to all revolvers so I sell/trade my inventory to reflect a majority of wheel guns. Then (where I am now), I feel that I need to have mostly semi-autos so I start to trade/sell my inventory the other way to reflect a majority of semi-autos. Although most of my personal taste revolves around Smith and Wesson's I am wondering what this problem is that I have. I know that some speak of the collection disease which when started is almost incurable but I have stumbled on to a phenomenon that has not been talked about too much on the forum. Is this preference for one platform or the other a dirty little secret that is just now being uncovered? Am I to expect Jeraldo Rivera to show up at my door any minute?

Almost all my purchases in the last few years have been 22LR rifles. I didn't have one as a kid
so I am catching up on what I missed. And a big part of the Shooting Experince is find out what
you do and you don't like.

Lately I have been buying 22LR revolvers. I reload other calibers but I am getting older and shoot more 22s M18,M34 and M63

I have been buying up mostly N frame guns for the last few months. Every time I think I need semi auto pistols, I just keep going back to revolvers.

Shucks, I just buy both and never get rid of anything. That way when a trend changes its already in the safe.

Being a believer in the KISS principle I am a revolver fan. The only auto I own is a .22 for training beginners. I will admit though that I have been looking at the Tarus .45. I believe they make one with a 12 round magazine.

On the other hand I don't really have time to shoot everything I have now!

They all go into the "black hole" here.

I'm very much stuck in a rut. Smith & Wesson and Colt revolvers and Colt 1911 and Hi-Power automatics. No plastic, no phone, no pool, no pets...
