Do You Like Spaghetti Westerns?

Here are my contributions. Both are Piettas. One is an 1860 Army and the other is an 1873 replica. I believe they look very nice.

There are a few spaghetti westerns that I'm not crazy about but, for the most part, I love them.

As for that Remington replica, I will argue until I am blue in the face that the Remington 1875 is by far THE BEST LOOKING REVOLVER ever made!

Gorgeous gun you got there!!! Envious, Yoda is!!! ;)

Thanks for the kind words.

Don't want you to get blue in the face, but I think a pre war Registered Magnum is a pretty delightful looking revolver too.

But I can't afford one of those at the moment. 🙂

I can however provide you with another peek...

I seem to remember being able to buy a special cylinder that would adapt to the BP Remington 44 which would enable it to chamber and fire 44-40 cartridges. Anybody have one?

That won't work. The bore on the Remington is .451 or so. The bullet in the .44-40 is currently, .429. Lots of blow by, leading and inaccuracy. There have been cylinders bored to accept the 45 long Colt cartridge.

The pair of revolvers I post now,

are cut for the modern 44 Colt with .430 bore. I load them with a 200 grain RNFP cast bullet and as much 3f as I can fit in the case. They are fun to shoot and fairly accurate.

I have a Ruger Old Army that has been fitted with a .45 Colt cylinder. As posted above, you can get a .45 Colt cylinder for most Remington STEEL framed percussion replica revolvers.

S&W made a lot of gorgeous guns. I even have a few and I used to have many more. Still, just to repeat myself, nobody has ever made a gun as pretty as the 1875 Remington. :D

That includes the Colt SAA, and and all S&W Hand Ejectors, any Korth, any Ruger, any Manurhin, etc. Of course, the Remington Model 1858 comes close, as it should since it is the prdecessor to the 1875.

The S&W PC 986 tried to get there but it was just not to be.

I've had many Ubertis (and Uberti made Cimarrons), maybe a dozen handguns and nearly half a dozen rifles.
A Uberti Henry, 1873 short rifle and a carbine, a 38-55 High Wall and .45-70 High Wall.
Handguns I prefer the 5 1/2" barrel, but had one 4 3/4" and a couple of the 7 1/2".
The Uberti Schofield was nice too, just takes some getting used to after firing a Colt P.
This one is the one I've kept, the nicest Uberti (Cimarron) of them all.

.

Well...okay then.

Nothing more to do than give you another taste from the sampling room.

Enjoy !!!!! 🙂

Heres 3 ubertis. The '73 is a stoeger that I built. I found that I didn't like the long barrel open top so I sold it back to the guy I got it from.
