Do you remember the TV show Simon&Simon?

Well Steave, that is pretty cool. I guess you could ask '' Rick Simon'' for us and settle the whole thing!!! WOW!!! By the way I have a dog named Marlow! Did that Power Wagon have a 440 in it? I love this forum!!!!

Please do ask Gerald McRaney. He and his co-star are among the few actors who might know one gun from another.

I think Jamison has written articles for, "Sporting Classics", by the way.

Didn't McRaney play Patton in that TV drama where Tom Selleck was "Ike"? My son has my copy.

Selleck is another of the few actors who knows something about firearms. He seems attached to the Colt .45 auto, and uses one in most of his roles.

T-Star

Simon and Simon started off(they were in a few shows) with Magnum PI, then became its own series, I watched both when they were new back to back(was it sundays?), besides 2 and Half Men......S&S and Magnum and Rockford were the best CBS has offered

Now as a HK P9s nut(have a dozen of them) I am going to have to watch all the shows again, lucky we have Retro TV and they run M PI, S&S , Rockish others every night

I doubt I'll have a chance to ask him, I've never met the man. He lives in Mississippi, where my SIL's family is from, and she lives in Dallas.

Landpimp-it is an early episode, first season I believe. Only a quick look at it while Rick is getting out of the car. Rick is carring it.

I also recall that AJ had a very well stocked gun safe. His mother made a comment about it as the brothers were getting ready for what they felt could turn into a big shootout.

Didn't Jamison Parker get shot a few years back in a dispute with his neighbor?

I knew I liked Rick.....his was I bet the 45cal version of the P9s

If RTV (Retro TV Network) is shown on a digital subchannel in your area, the show can still be seen. I have it on now for background noise.

In one episode, where they went to Mexico, they toted along M1 carbines as "tactical" long guns. The actors seemed to know how to handle them.

McRaney, who's married to Delta Burke in real life, is a long time NRA member. He was the mayor on Jericho and the title Major on "Major Dad" where he pressured writers to do an episode where he confronted his anti gun TV wife and introduced his step daughters to shooting in a responsible manner.

I own a Series 70 Colt thanks to watching Magnum PI as a kid.

+1 on Gerald McRaney being a hollywood conservative. LOVED the power wagon

last i saw him was on the versus (Vs.) channel doing a hunting show.
