.358-180 The NOE mold ($79) is the closest mold I can find. This design is said by some to be very accurate in Lever rifles. I’m using the Missouri 357 Striker Hi-Tek in front of 13.5 grains of 4227 and its pretty darn accurate in my Henry. It is pretty close to the NOE design. The Missouri Sample pack of 100 is $22 including shipping.

Well, I don’t know how to put up a pic. The NOE designation is:

360-182-WFN PB U2. Some people have said it comes out of the mold at .359”.

Contact Lee and ask them! They used to have a specialty mould section. That is just a short version of the 35 Remington bullet (200gr RN).

I’m curious. The NOE design apparently has a good reputation for accuracy. Why not just buy their mold and be done with it? Do you shoot so much you need a 6-cavity mold or something?

I’d rather pay $23 as opposed to $79 for a 2 bullet mold.

We'll you get what you pay for. I have a Lee copy of that mold which is a very slight take off of the LBT 185-fn. It was in a group buy set up decades ago that cost about 70 of us $59 each. I am extremely happy with NOE's products and warranty and would save up for one if you want it. Since I started casting in the early 90's people have asked Lee to run a heavier 358 diameter bullet. About 5 years ago they copied RCBS's 200 fn. I suspect if enough people asked them in 20 years they might come out with a 180.

I own over twenty NOE molds including the exact one you're talking about. It casts right at .360 for me. I don't shoot it in my smiths but it shoots great in my 357 Super Blackhawks and Rossi 92.

I say just bite the bullet and get the NOE mold. Although if you don't have a set of handles you should get those too. I hear Lee 6 cavity handles will work but I don't really know.

Here's some 360-180 WFN. It's an absolutely great bullet.

Accurate Molds: Custom Bullet Molds

Design whatever you want, E-mail the drawing to [email protected] Tom will enter it in the catalog, usually within 24 hours, and then you can order as many copies as you want for the standard price. Approximately $90 for a two-cavity mold in aluminum. You can also order molds in brass or iron for a higher price.

There is no charge to have your design entered into the catalog. His molds are as good as any out there! You can specify alloy and diameter you want it to cast +.002/-.000".

At least look at his catalog!

Is this close enough to what you want? Accurate Molds: Custom Bullet Molds

There are other custom mold makers....

One outfit uses CNC, send em' the sketch. They have a tremendous list of designs already laid out. The prices are very reasonable, and you get your choice of materials.

And a great whitetail bullet too, from a rifle out to about 125yds.

Keep an eye out for the used saeco molds:
353 fp super long range
396 tc

Both are plain based bullets and saw a lot of action in the 357max/silhouette game.

Everyone wants a custom mold for $23, myself I don't mind paying for what I want. Buy quality, get what you want and then turn around and sell it for more $$$ then you paid for it to begin with after you're done with it.

CLOSED - MP 357 HP Carbine Mold Rerun Cramer HP and Lee Style 6 Cavity
CLOSED - Mihec 358-180 Larsen PB/ GC 180 gr .358 or .360 -Solid Only
Both those molds in the links above have proven track records for accuracy/reliability. You can sit on the porch and count your pennies or get off your wallet & come out and play with the big dogs.

My latest custom mold, 30cal silhouette hp mold.

Go to Accurate molds, tom makes a great product. Design your own bullet for no extra cost, getvexactly what you want for a reasonable cost.

That bullet looks a lot like one sold by Cast Performance and they do shoot very well in leverguns.

Buy the better mold and be happy. I like Lee products but sometimes you get exactly what you pay for so do you really want a $23 mold? Maybe buy used?

I mean no disrespect, but if you value your time, and put in the effort to cast quality bullets, buying an inexpensive mold is false economics.
NOE molds are very nice. And, Accurate Molds are very nice.
In fact, the quality of the raw materials, very refined design, and excellent machining greatly exceeds the minor cost difference over a budget mold.

You've already put in the time to critically think through your needs and wishes. I think you'll thank yourself for splurging a bit to get the superior product.

Enjoy!
Jim

Lee makes molds there way and the cast bullet may not be accurate in your firearm. Custom makers make the mold to your specs and they answer your questions.
