Found them online and they seem like a good idea - impregnated with silicone to keep gun from rusting in safe.

Do you use them, and would you recommend them?

Personaly I don't use those, I just wipe mine down with a good gun oil or if long term, a wax.
I store them in factory boxes, zip cases or holsters. Been doing it for 37 years and never had a problem.
Michigan is very humid as is where you are. I learned long ago to regulate the humidity with a dehumidfier or two in the basement and a golden rod type dehumifier in each vault.
I've seen alot of gimics come and go over the years but the dehumifier is the best accessory to have in your gun area.

I won't be without them!

All of my handguns are in Bore Stores, it also allows you to "stack" them in the safe with no fear of damage.

I also have a dehumidifier, and have never had a hint of rust on any of my handguns. Even the ones that were rusty when I got them! I cleaned the rust off and it never came back. Other guns I have, where I had to remove rust, tend to re-rust in the same areas.

Bore Stores may be a "gimmick" but so far they have worked, and if nothing else they are better than having the guns sit unprotected.

Some of the rifles I keep in other areas, i.e. closet, etc. develop rust in spots where they have rusted before, some of them are almost 100 years old. The ones I kept in Bore Store rifle cases never had a problem.

All of my revolvers are tucked away in Bore-stores. I love them and the also add a bit of protection if the guns are bumped into one another. I'm very happy with them and will continue to use them....

They have worked well for many years.
I also have Golden Rods in my safes.
Never had a problem.

I absolutely use them for any gun I value! They are not only good protection against rust, etc. but also protect against dings and "holster wear". Most holster wear is really box wear and there's no reason to allow it to occur.

Are the sizes listed on the site internal measurements of the pocket or do they include the open flap?

Bore-Stores

Internal.

I always keep a supply on hand just in case a gun follows me home. Usually they fit the gun sizes listed pretty good and one always has the option of getting the next size up, which would work for different sized guns.

Bore Stores

Wanted to add my endorsement to the growing list, found them by accident in a pawn shop and actually learned what they were right here on the forum and received the similar reply about their good features. Found them on sale from Brownell's and purchase more. You cannot go wrong if you do not have boxes for each of your hand guns. Protection from corrosion and accidental bumps. You will be satisfied, in my opinion!

:) I use them for a few long guns that I don't have room for in the safe. I am not worried so much about rust I just don't want them to get dinged up. Don

I have Bore-Stores and Sack-Ups. I re-spray them about once a year with high-grade silicone spray. No rust , no damage.

Another thing I like about the Bore Store's is that guns go in, and come out of them easily. Because of this we have also used them around the house as "house holsters" of sorts and our son uses them for his carry guns when he is home.

Instead of just having a gun laying around, or stashed in a drawer where it is subject to wear & the like this provides good protection that allows quick & easy access. Their dark grey coloring also means that they don't stick out like a sore thumb on most surfaces so they kinda blend in.

They also work great for that shotgun, or rifle that people keep behind a door, just in case they might need it quickly someday.
