A friend inherated this pre war M&P 5" bbl. factory reblue matching #'s hammer marked pat. off pitting on side plate Ser #506381. Can anyone advise on DOB and apx. value? Thanks, Brad

My personal guess is that the grips are probably worth more than the rest of the pistol given the current price of the things. MAK

I kinda' thought that as well,I would have tried to buy it if it was in original condition, I prefer a worn but honest finish to even a factory reblue but the stocks look to be in good shape and original. Brad
 
Nice gun...

Made in the early to mid 1920s....

Here the gun would go for $300 to $400 more or less...
