DOB help for M13

I have a nickel M13-2. I'd like to know when it was made, can anyone help out? Also, it appears to be factory nickel. Is that possible w/ this particular model?

1982 and yes it could be factory nickel.

Add: take the grips off and see if there is a N stamped on the left side of the grip frame. I don't know if they were still stamping the N on the frame in 82. Maybe someone that knows will answer.
