Nickel model 29-2 serial number N7999**,also what does the E3 stamping on the crane mean?the cylinder has an N on it.I would like to know when this gun was made and what the E3 stamping signifies. This gun has one of those triggers that surprises me every time I pull it,man it's slick, smooth and fast,I love it.I have owned many 44 magnums in the past but this is my first model 29 and already has become my favorite all time revolver. There's just something about this one, somehow we just work good together, she hits where I ask her to every time.Even when I don't think I got off a good shot, the bullet hole always ends up where I wanted it to be.God,I love this gun!

Around 1980-ish? The E3 is from assembly and the N is for Nickel. Those are my guesses. By the way, I love my 1973 model 29-2, one of my best shooters.
