Does anyone else save rimfire brass ?

Don't pick them up. Shoot more. Never need to buy more gravel. Larry

Was at the Lake Christine shooting range in Basalt, Colorado and in front of the 8 rifle benches the ground was several inches think with spent 22, and handgun brass. Lots of steel cased 7.62x39 cases also. Not a sign of gravel for several feet in front of the benches.

Our little range is getting littered with rimfire hulls.

On a side note, I pick up all my brass when I shoot in the woods. However, when hunting I leave the brass where it lays for future archeologist to find and try to solve the puzzle. Years ago, I harvested a bison using an original Sharps carbine in 50-70 Government. I used a factory cartridge loaded in the 1870-80's. I left the brass where it laid. The harvest was in historical bison country. Someone someday might find the brass and rightfully believe it was used to take a bison. However, it was 130 years after the evidence would suggest.

Since I have to pick up or sweep up my brass at my gun club range, I put .22 brass in my salvage bucket with all the other worn or damaged brass. When I get at least a hundred pounds, I take it to the salvage yard.

Same here. And all that steel stuff my B-I-L shoots at my range I pick up with a magnet and it goes into my steel scrap drum. That Also net a few $$$ at the scrap yard.

I’m jealous that you can shoot at your house.
I was raised out in the country and we shot behind the house.
Always thought I would wind up with a place like that but it didn’t turn out that way!

I can shoot off front porch or back porch. Wife doesn't like stepping on empty .22's. So I sweep "em" up.

When the next recession/depression hits y'all will be wishing you could make you're own whiskey and load you're own ammo. Of course you can't reload 22LR but the brass can be sold for scrap metal. Most of the 22LR at my range goes into the scrap metal bucket and they recycle it. 1.25/lb these days.

Did you watch the video I posted?
Not reloaded, but definitely used to make ammo.

On of the guys at my range harvests 22LR with a battery powered shop-vac and makes all his own .223 projectiles.
