What ever happened to Kenwood? I had some of their receivers and they were quality, but they seem to have dissapeared.

I don't know about in-home audio, but Kenwood is currently well regarded in the world of automotive systems. A couple of years ago I put a new top-end Kenwood head unit in my FJ Cruiser. What a difference compared to the adequate but unexciting stock unit.
