Does Anyone Own a Model 1896 2" Barrel Gun?

There is a discussion about the existence of a 2" Model 1896 on the SWCA website. The old database shows several 2" guns and a couple of sets of close serial numbers imply maybe a batch of two were made. It is easy to cut the barrel of this model since there were no stampings found anywhere on the barrel, but since the barrel was tapered the barrel would measure .51" OD cut instead of the factory .47" OD at the muzzle.

Anyway, if anyone owns or knows of this rare variation, please post here. This is what a 2" 1896 would look like in this edited image.

Very interesting, Gary. I suppose this would be the hand ejector equivalent of the "bicycle gun" in the top break category. :)
 
I sure would like to see the right side? And serial number range?
