Does barrel shroud hurt accuracy?

I just bought a M&P 15-22 performance center model, and was looking at adding a barrel shroud. My question: will adding the shroud have any negative effect on accuracy?

No, I don't believe it should. I'm not sure if the performance model has a threaded barrel though. Others may have more info...

There are PC versions both with and without threaded barrel.

I have a Kineti-Tech...if anything it adds a little weight and the barrel seems more harmonized....no loss in accuracy.
