Does everyone use holsters?

I always carry with a holster. It may be as simple as an Uncle Mike's nylon pocket holster or a belt slide holster that fits a variety of semi-autos. I don't carry so many different types/models of gun that I'm not without a holster generally available.

I carry usually with a holster. But a very comfortable concealed carry mode for me is using the elcheapo Barami Hip Grips and no holster. I have a set on a 642-1 and on my 19-1.

Inside the waist band works great. More comfortable is outside the waist band but under the belt...strapped between the waistband and belt. This way, on the 19-1, the gap in the belt allows for a snag free draw with no hammer interference.

The gun will stay in place very well.

I'll pocket carry a J-frame every now and again and have even tucked a Mod 28 in the belt once to see how it felt. Other than that, I use a holster almost all of the time.

It's the law here in GA. You have to use some type of holster.

I carry my 686 2.5" in one of my The Slide OWB holsters. I could not imagine not carrying it in a holster.

I use a ClipDraw with a J-frame and find that a very convenient and comfortable way to carry.

I will also mexican appendix carry a 6946 on occasion when conditions warrant. I suppose I could lose it from there but I've been doing it for years and haven't come close yet.
