Does my Shield 9 Have...

A magazine disconnnect? How do I know? If it does, will it shoot dry fire without a magazine in it?

Mine does not. It has this stamped on the right side of the slide.

"CAUTION - CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED" all in caps.

Remove the magazine and pull the trigger. If it won't fire, it has a mag safety. If it does, you can't fire it, dry or otherwise, without the magazine in place.

My Shield 9 does not have the slide warning.

The California version appears to have a magazine safety. Can't sort out other states. So some do, most don't?
