I bought this grip from ebay, does this combo look like doo doo?

I like it also. I put Hogues on all my S&W revolvers. They just seem to fit my hand good. I am looking to buy a V-Comp soon, have you shot it? I usually have Magnaport on my 44's but I wonder how good the comp works.

I'm not a big fan of the laminated stocks. That being said...everyone has a different kind of shape/size/style that they like. If you like it, that's all that matters. I prefer dark hardwood stocks with finger grooves from Hogue on my stainless guns. They fit my hand better than anything else that I've tried.

this is the only .44 Mag i have shot, so i have no reference as to how it feels other than, it is fun to shoot..

WITH ALL DUE RESPECT davetnitro YES, IMHO THEY LOOK LIKE DOO DOO. LAMINATES DO NOTHING FOR ME. THEY ARE NOT A SOLID PIECE OF WOOD--JUST A MAN MADE SANDWICH. THE COLOR MIGHT LOOK MARGINALLY BETTER ON A BLUED GUN, BUT THOSE STOCKS DO NOTHING TO ENHANCE THE BEAUTY OF YOUR FINE REVOLVER. EVEN IF YOU LIKE THAT PARTICULAR STOCK, THERE ARE MANY CHOICES THAT WOULD SERVE YOU BETTER. LOOK AT SOME OF THE FORUM THREADS THAT FEATURE GORGEOUS GUNS, TO GET SOME IDEAS. I'M NOT TRYING TO BE A JERK, JUST TELLING YOU HONESTLY WHAT I THINK. DARK WOODS USUALLY LOOK BETTER ON STAINLESS HANDGUNS. SELL THESE GRIPS TO SOMEONE WHO REPLIES ON THIS THREAD, THAT THEY LOVE THEM.…..

I'm not a fan of them, however what I think looks like Doo Doo is that you have the hammer back and something shoved in the trigger area and it's not pointed down range :(

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Normally I like solid wood, but I think they match the style and finish of that particular gun well. How they fit your hand, and look to YOU is what is important.

I like it! Different. Who cares what anyone else likes! If you like it, enjoy! HOWEVER - DECOCK THAT HAMMER!!!!!!!!!!!

I could be wrong, but just the fact that you're asking the question tells me you might be having second thoughts about them, yourself.

Some people like this look. Being honest, I have to say I'm not one of those people. They look garish to me. No offense, but I wouldn't put them on any of my revolvers.

Not my favorite Hogue's, but Hogue's nonetheless. Here they are on my 29-2...

They are painful to shoot - I prefer Goodyears for that, but at this point, the 29 doesn't get shot much anymore.

Adios,

Not a fan of either, but given your options I'd also go with the goodyears.

no...that doesn't look bad at all. matter of fact, the satin finish with those grips look kinda...sinister.

There you go! Looks much better with the rubber grips IMO. I have them on my .41 mag SS mountain gun.

i like them better than the neon yellow rollmark fill on the desert sand AR in the back ground, I will tell that for sure.

Yeah I'd say the rubber Houges grips look alot better . Does anyone know if any company makes a rubber grip without the finger groves . More like the Rugers gp100 grips? I need a set for 586
