Does this look like a good deal?

it looks really cheap to me, tactical being the first word in the title makes me laugh. the mil-dots are probably not accurate if you are using them for measurement. Turrets likely are not accurate or repeatable either. but if your price range is only $40, go for it. I wouldn't say its a steal, there are tons of budget optics out there for $40-50. Ncstar makes alot.

If you look at the bottom of their ad, they admit it is a clone and most likely from China. Most likely a waste of money. Afterall, when it breaks, who is gonna fix it?

I wasnt planning on buying, I was just looking and came across this. Thanks for the opinions though, you both have great points

it's hard to believe that they can build a decent scope and make a profit on it, while selling it for $40.

I have a leapers "bug buster" looks exactly the same. $47.00 plus $7.50 shipping so just a fair deal. I have not had any problems with the scope over 2000 rounds since I put it on. Also mine did not come with rings so add another $14.00 for a scope mount. The rings this one comes with are too small for a 15-22, you need a (weaver picatinny rail) ring or 20mm where it says 11mm.

What is your zoom range with this scope? Also how is the accuracy?

Have had a $40 Leapers 4x on a recreational Bushmaster since the latter part of the 1990s.... still keeps on tickin'.

Dime store optics are just that, cheap dime store optics. But if you are using them for recreational use and not in inclement weather then you might be surprised with the service you get for the $.

Very true, the old saying holds true "You get what you pay for"

Right. I recently dropped $700 on a scope for a .308 project. (I could have spent a lot more.) That scope will serve it's purpose for what I need... as a dime store optic serves it's purpose just as well for a different need.

It wouldn't be the first time a cheap scope worked out....I say someone should go for it and report on it. I wonder if it actually says Walther on the body of the scope? If it does, I'm surprised Walther doesn't go after their butts!

No zoom its a fixed 4x32 accuracy is great. Cross hairs are thicker than I would like but wouldn't stop me from buying another. I went with a fixed power to lesson the chance of things going wrong but couldn't resist the AO for close clear shots. Looks good on the rifle.

Oh ok got it, I will have to check it out. I already have a red dot with no magnification on my rifle, am just looking at buying a magnified scope for longer range shooting.
