I didn't read the article, but anytime they say that "entirely domestic manufacture of ... " whatever is going to be impossible, it's NOT A GOOD THING.

This can't be good, as if ammo isn't hard enough to find now. Sounds like more manufacturing jobs gone also.

I think we should have a "lead or no lead" choice for ammo.

But, having another supply line to the far east is not good.

The Silk Road has progressed from cheap trinkets, to electronics and now control of ammo to our armed forces and the greatest liberty group ever, the American Militia.

In hind sight we can lament the loss of lead or pressure the ammo companies to step up and provide lead alternates in an affordable manner.

I have had excellent results with Barnes no lead rifle ammo. We can survive without lead. The ammo manufacturers need to partner with us and provide ammo and bullets/shot in the new materials that we can afford. If they don't, they too will fail and our ammo will arrive via the Silk Road.

We'll still mine lead, it'll just go to Mexico for smelting. This probably has something to do with all the EPA policies regarding recyclable lead, too. Battery costs will go up, as will ammunition, solder, and anything that requires virgin lead. Relax, Washingtons got our backs, they won't let us down. Remember, they represent us.

Would be a great time to open one somewhere in WV in or near an abandoned coal mine.

I'm certain the workforce around there would love it.

I guess the ranges will do well on recycling lead. I wonder if this will have any effect on the market? Is lead part of the precious metals market?
