It is my lowest cost 1911! My only 9mm 1911. But it functions well. I had sight issues with it. So, Tru Glo Fiber Optic sights. They made a big difference. Bought some Camel Bone Grips. Did not my Colt Commander, so did a little Dremel work and put them on this.
Have 5 1911's in all. Bob

I picked up a RIA 1911 in .45ACP back when they first came out. Very nicely made and quite reliable. I disliked the oringinal USGI style sights and had a set of Heinie Slant Pro's installed. I have mostly used it as the frame for my Marvel Unit 2 .22LR upper.

When Tisas came out with their USGI 1911 line including 9mm I found a 'blem' sale and picked up one of theirs. I have been quite impressed with it as well, although it also needs new sights.

The last photo of the sights is exactly how my rear sights look. Now if you took the front sight and blurred it to match the rear you would have the same sight picture I have with my aging eyes. I just put the front blur in the middle of the back two blurs and squeeze.
Very nice looking pistol by the way and good job with the dremel.

The rear sights are a result of my poor picture taking close up. Before I had my cataracts done everything looked blurry! Bob
