Does anyone use a Don Hume Belt Slide holster (H-710) for a 686 with a 2.5" barrel, and, if so, how do you like it?

I have always heard good things about Don Hume products but have never owned one. I like all of my current holsters but this looks interesting.

The picture with the 1911 is the newer style, the one with the 686 is the older style.

Any input appreciated.

I have used Don Hume jit slide holsters for years.J.K,N frame different barrel length no problem.Have also used them for glocks 1911 and kahrs. When I hurt my right wrist and lost use of right hand for a couple on months I used left hand jit slides for carry.

I have never used a belt slide, but do have a number of Don Hume holsters, and can attest to them being well built and a great price for the quality.

Me too. I have Don Hume JIT holsters for every gun I own.

I also have a 2-1/2" 686 plus (performance center). I am wearing a Galco Silhouette holster ($68.00 + shipping from Cops Plus).

Very comfortable and secure (snap retention). No break in required.

Galco's quality is very good and it was available for immediate shipment.

It rides high and the barrel extends about 3/8" beyond the leather. I wear golf shirts (un-tucked) and it conceals well and does not extend past the hem of the shirt. (Shirts from Duluth Trading have longer than average tails and a generous cut so they conceal better than most).

Cops Plus shipped promptly and the holster arrived within a week.

I am happy with the holster and at present have no plans on making any other holster purchase.

I have two "Simply Rugged" holsters. Very comfortable and made with very heavy leather. I don't know how they mold the holsters but they fit well, though the contours don't show through.

Reviews were excellent and so is the product. I got impatient--there is a wait time for all holsters and Galco ships from stock.

I may buy one anyhow as I am undecided on the thumb break.

I usually wear dark colored pants and I have not seen the staining that the writer describes.
