Don't You Hate This When It Happens?

That girl had her schit squared away - 1) She immediately told someone else, by name, to call 911, then - 2) she comes over with a tourniquet and latex gloves already on. Edit: it looks like she was already wearing the gloves. Still, she was taking charge of that situation. I would like to have her on my side.

This is why I never buy cheap guns you never know when they gonna go off. And I never modify my guns. The public will be safe as he will lose his gun rights.

Lose his right to own and carry guns?
I really doubt it.
And how do you know what the price or make of the gun is?

I appendix carried my J frame, IWB, for years but never worried b/c of the long, heavy trigger pull. There are too many variables w/modern auto loaders, for me at least, to carry one this way. I’m not knocking others who carry their semi autos like this, only saying it is not something I would do.

"Don't You Hate This When It Happens?"...... ......again, two and a half weeks later? I think he would have learned the hard way the first time it happened: _http://smith-wessonforum.com/concealed-carry-self-defense/559404-poll-appendix-carry-2.html post#60

Have no idea what gun or how it could go off, unless some part of his clothing got into the trigger guard. Still just another reason I can't get comfy awib carry. Violates a primary safety rule, which I try never to do on purpose. Besides, I do not find it anymore comfortable than iwb @ 3:30-4. If I shoot myself in the but cheek, I can put a bandaid on that.

Thats why I prefer holsters

My guess is a single action pistol on which he did not engage the safety. Heck of a way to take yourself out of the gene pool. Hopefully, he'll recover. I think it would be rather difficult to get a full trigger travel in double action mode.

There is no such thing as an accident with a firearm, it all falls under 'negligence and carelessness'
Notice what he did there, he's adjusting and pulled the trigger.

These are the idiots who make us all look bad.
Take his gun/s and a thorough a-- whopping. Perhaps put on the no fly list as well.

If the video is actually real then I love the "perhaps put on the no fly list as well" comment. If the video is real, then he just shot the daylights out of his "fly" (and maybe something else) so no need to add him to the list cause he aint' got no fly left!

Are there any holsters for in the waistband fitted with a metal barrier on the bottom to stop a bullet? it would still be quite a "wump" but maybe better than what happened to this guy. Prolly weigh a little bit more but be worth it. Bulletproof vest material maybe? Just thinking out loud here

Not quite the same, but for Glocks there is an aftermarket gadget called the Striker Control Device (SCD) that replaces the slide cover plate. Lets you put your thumb on the back of the slide and feel if the trigger is being pulled when you reholster. e.g. if your shirt gets caught in the trigger guard. Hard to say what happened in the video. It may or may not have prevented it.
