Yes, the front edges on each side of the slide lightly touches the inside of my Muddy River Tactical kydex, but has zero effect on tension or withdrawal.

No not a bit.

Grab the slide overhand (no slingshot), and abruptly, even violently, rack it to the rear, while pushing the grip forward. Easy peasy.
