Dot sizes for bowling pins 25 feet.

Here is what I come up with for dots on bowling pins at 25 feet.

8 MOA = .67"
6 MOA = .5"
3 MOA = .25"
2 MOA = .17"

You have done a nice piece of homework. Your answer is obvious; the 8 moa dot is the best. Remember, for minimizing 'time taken' in shooting pins the handgun should not stop on the pins for sighting. The 8 moa will be the best for being able to see during the 'sweep' of the table by your handgun.........

I use C-mores with 12 or 16 minute dots.

Not to change the topic or hijack...... I haven't seen a c-more in years at the range.....over 60 a big dot has some added appeal.... how durable are they??????

I've had real good luck with my C-Mores. I have one on each of my pistols and revolver and have fired over 25K rounds through with no problems.

C-Mores are the number one Red Dot Sight being used in USPSA matches.

I normally turn mine on the start a match and leave it on all day. Same with practice. I change batteries about every 6 months.

I use Bomar sights on my Springfield Armory M1911A1s. Works great for outdoor pins.
