Debbie and I went to the Dothan show about noon. It is about a 45 minute ride each way through the country, and longer and more congested on the main Highway.
Spent about 15 minutes total in the hall. I had brought a late model M39-2 and one mag to either sell or trade.
My normal trading partner (retired LEO and retired USAF) had just sold an AR and had money to burn. He looked it over closely but then handed it back.
My $650 asking price was over his budget. As I got about 50 feet down the aisle he ran me down in his electric scooter and asked if I would take less than the $650. He offered me $600 and I took it. He was happy and I broke even.
I didn't find anything so I pocketed the proceeds and departed.
Gate admission is up to $9.00 (cash) and $10 (card). Tables still $60.
The back corner was kind of empty, about two rows were missing. Lots of Chinese Junque available. Lots of black plastic rifles and pistols as well as some edged weapons. Smattering of 80% frames available.
Next show is December, but not sure if we are going to set up or just walk through.
Ammo seemed to be available and some at reasonable prices. Also some at higher prices.
Parking is still free.
The highlight of the ride was stopping for lunch at our favorite country bistro on the ride home. Food and service was great.
Some older S&Ws on tables. But most of the sellers thing that they have NIB specimens according to the prices.
