First off Happy Fathers Day! It is also my birthday. Hit 57 today. I can just about see 60 on the horizon. Sure goes by fast.
Ya'll enjoy. I will fire up the grill after church and feed friends and family.
For all of you that still have your Father, cherish the time.

Happy birthday and Father's Day to you Butch. Your gathering of family and friends is a fine way to cap this very special day.

Your words about those with Fathers still living and cherishing the time together ring so true. My Father passed away in 1968. I was 23 years old, married, working and going to school, trying to prepare myself for the demands of adult life. There was not much time to spend with my Dad. That opportunity was lost 41 years ago. I wish that our children could have known my Dad. How I wish, too, that my Dad could have been there to give me His support and wisdom, in my triumphs and defeats over these many years.

I can and will think special thoughts, today.
