I found a deal at Walmart for an LR-308 for $600 before taxes, good deal or pass?

I've seen them priced under $700 but even with taxes, not as cheap.

I bought my daughter's for $539 shipped, but I caught a deal right around Father's Day last year. That price is not bad...

The 1st AR-15 I bought was a DPMS. It was a CAR light weight barrel configuration. The first cold shot was dead on at 25 yards, second shot was 12" and was over 30" high. I cooled it off tried it a second time with the same results, So I took it back and got something completely different, and will never buy that brand again. Ivan

Wow. That's the best price I've heard of for an AR10 type. I wonder how low they'll go? I may have to buy one.

DPMS LR 308

IMO that is a very good price...typically the uppers alone cost $600 or more...I don't have any experience with the oracle, but I own two LR's HB's....a 18" and a 24"....the 18" with a 4 lb timney trigger and leupold optics is a sub MOA gun with Federal 168gr BTHP's all day long. I haven't shot the 24" yet, but I figure it will do just as well. I shoot with several other guy's who own DPMS 308's and they like them as well. If I ran across another one for $600. It would be mine.

Go now, they are supposedly selling off all things tactical, so these deals won't last if this is true.
