First let me say a big thanks to all who responded to my request for a name for our wood carving dragon. Second we thought that Puff was just to generic although it would have made sense for a dragon that lives by the sea.
I read all replies and looked for dragon stories on line of which there are endless reads. I came across a story written by an 8 year old boy in India and here is the summary.
A group of children were playing a game of cricket when the ball was hit deep into the forest. The children knew there was a dragon in the forest but were afraid to enter the woods. Finally one of the boys entered the woods but was gone for far to long. The children started to cry for help to find the boy. The dragon named Zark heard their cries, rose up and flew till he saw the boy and then flew him to safety with the other children.
Zark, that will be his name. Zark is a friendly dragon who searches for missing children and returns them to safety.
If only such a creature existed the world would be a better place.
