So as I am finishing up my last coat of clear for the point. I go to hang my rifle in garage for spray and the rifle just dropped. Slammed barrel first on the concrete. Visually looked over and didn't see anything out of the ordinary.

Is there something specific I should look for? Barrel dropped about 3ft from where it was hanging. Should my rifle be ok?

OUCH.!!!!!!!! good question... check to see if bolt cycles smoothly manually.???
take barrel out... If you have barrel wrench.?? and look at it visually to see if it looks straight.?? or lay it on a true straight edge... level or long square... and rotate...to see if still true.!!!!

Then test drive it...if all looks OK and 15-22 cycles normally and bolt locks up correctly...that will be the real proof....!!!!

HTH,
Paul

Yea I do not have the wrench. It was completely assembled..upper and all minus the charging handle, etc. Took a hard hit though.

Did it slam straight down on the muzzle/flash hider...??? usually there are scuff marks from steel to concrete hit.???

You can get a pretty good idea of how straight the bore is by looking through it. Any serious deviation from straight will show up that way. The 15-22 is pretty light weight, so I wouldn't be too concerned that the barrel was bent by the 3 ft freefall. Check the action, visually inspect the barrel inside, verify that bolt will go into battery, then fire some rounds, see how true she shoots.

I think you are fine, that barrel is steal and a lot more durable than most folks think, if it was run over by a tractor I might be concerned. The scope is another story.

I would pull the upper off and look down the bore. If you see a crescent moon then your f'ed. But more than likely it did little more than chip the concrete.

Well looked in the barrel and seems straight to me. Did not see any strange shapes of some sort. Taking it to the range in about 45min to run some test.
