Kidding of course. I feel the same way. If they want the job and great benefits they should play the game like the rest of us.

You guys aught to see how many apprentices we loose due drugs and alcahol. When your accepted into our program, you basically win the lottery. And they can't clean up (or won't).

I have always thought that all elected officials should be subject to regular drug screenings. It blows me away that they're not.

Ethics and IQ tests might be a better way to go.

Random drug testing is gubbermint mandated in the trucking industry. After a DOT recordable accident (any injury and/or any vehicle immobile) drug AND alcohol testing is mandatory, immediately. I would imagine that it is much the same for pilots and engineers (train, not bridge).

As for testing other folks, I've long thought that random testing of everyone with a driver's license would reduce traffic. Might reduce global warming, too.

I have no idea if it would reduce accidents. Random testing of gubbermint employees, including Congress, sounds like a great idea, but the unions will scream like mad.

No, there won't be many Unions crying. I took my first drug test as a Boilermaker 22 years ago. The time for whining about this point is looooooooog past.

anything that is paid for with tax payers money should require a drug test. Welfare, government jobs, bailouts, anything.
