Ordered two DS-10-speedloaders and one 40 round block Saturday Walked to the mailbox today (wed.)and there they were.(four days and I payed with a check) These seem to work very well and appear to be a high quality product.I would not hesitate to recommend to others plus there made in the USA. If you have a 10 shot 617 these are the way to go.

I'm in agreement that they are the greatest! I have two speedloaders, a 40rd block and a 60rd block. I'll load up 100rds and have a ball!

I guess I'm missing something, an increasingly frequent phenomenon --- what's the advantage of loading cartridges into the loading block, then into the speedloader, then into the gun, as opposed to just loading the chambers by hand? Isn't the same amount of manipulation involved, or even a little more? Is there some shooting game where fast reloading of a .22 rimfire revolver is an advantage? I mostly use my 617 for plinking, sometimes as anti-camp-invading skunk repellent, but not for anything I can think of wherein a fast reload matters much. By the way, an alternative to these mechanical loaders is the ten-round .22 speed strips from Tuff Products --- not blazingly fast, but a handy way to organize and carry a few fairly quick reloads for the 617, and available in many more calibers as well.

But the shooting blocks are MUCH easier to load, at leisure, than is the cylinder in the moment. And having eight (or more) cylinders' worth of rounds ready to plug right in maximizes the continuity and hence the value of a shooter's time at the range. Once they're in the block, transferring them to the cylinder takes two seconds.

Thanks, bellevance. It is a nuisance to single load the chambers, and you've explained why one might not want to. I guess I'll stick to the speed strips or single loading, unless pine cones, tin cans, or, perish the thought, skunks, gang up on me...

Not to hijack this thread, but as you got off topic onto the speed loaders and loading blocks of DS-10, I'm wondering whether they are available in other calibers. Since they seem to be semi-custom, I'm hoping they would make a K-32 loader. I looked on their website but couldn't find anything promising.
