Duelling tree for out rifles?

I own the Action Target Dueling Tree and it is one of the best purchases I ever made. I warn that it will double the amount of ammo you go through! Alone or with friends it is pure fun.

For the price, $149 (I got mine on sale from Brownells $135 shipped) it is simply not worth building your own.

In 20 min you will have it bolted together and shooting. The paddles are through hardened 1/4" AR500 steel and it only weighs 35 lbs so you can take it with you wherever you shoot.

At this price point AR500 steel is not over kill for .22lr as it will give a life time of enjoyment. Eventually even soft lead will deform the surface of mild steel. Your kid's children will be shooting the thing long after you are gone and the surface will look like the day you bought it.

Get one, you will not be disappointed.

I ordered one today... Can't wait to add it to my range in the back pasture. :D

thanks photo racer now i'm going to spend the rest of the day dreaming and watching you tube videos. it's a good thing i get paid by the hour

There are lots of videos from the years this event has been run. I have run everyone except 2014 when the changed date for the NSSF Rimfire World Championship conflicted with it. Best I ever did in the rifle only was 13th, best in pistol was 10th and best in team event was 4th. Will be back this year as the PSA and NSSF are on consecutive weekends in early Oct. Going to go thru a lot of .22 ammo during that stretch.

I got three sets of flippers and tubes for $75 ea from a local guy https://www.mrtargetonline.com and had a friend weld them up. I added a 4 foot length of 1 1/2" angle iron and plow disc to complete each and had about $250 total into three six flipper trees. They are AR500 and 3/16" thick. I have a couple of dents in them from 45ACP shot too close. They are very cool. Even cooler when shot with a suppressed bolt action. Click....ping!
