Dummy post war Remington colt .45

Just bought a box with every round drilled in the primer and low on the case. Looks like post war but very old. Inside of end flap is stamped
T23R. Any ideas?

Sounds like action proving dummy cartridges.

These are very hard to find unopened, some of the last of my 30 Cal. Carbine collection….

Interesting… My son, and I thought that possibly they were used as training rounds. No labels on the box suggested anything other than regular ammo. Possible that someone put a different box inside the cover box? for who knows why.
They will go into the collection… Thanks for the pics..
