The Performance Center had my new 627 in .38 Super in for a 'checkup'.
Smith and Wesson uses the Corbon 125 grain, jacketed bullet, .357 diameter for load testing and grouping and I'm trying to duplicate the Corbon load for my .38 Super.
Anyone know what powder and amount Corbon uses for this load?
Thanks,
PB

If you don't want to spring for factory Corbon ammo, look at the various online loading manuals for loads that give 1325 fps with a 125gr Sierra JHP bullet. That'll give you what you want. Corbon factory loads may well contain non-canister powder, and if not, I doubt they'd tell you what commercial-grade powder they do use.

You might also take a look at AA#7. As I recall, it's numbers look pretty good. I really like Power Pistol and have used a lot of it but, at least in 38 Super and 9mm, the muzzle flash is absolutely blinding in dim light. AA#& seems to have less problems that way.

If I wanted to duplicate a factory load I'd find a few rounds of it and run them over a chronograph to see what their actual velocity is.
