Have NO idea, but the dishwasher seems to have just died. Haven't had a chance to really look at it yet, beyond checking the breakers-- Isn't that old either. :( ALWAYS SOMETHING :mad:

And, yes, it is always something. I've always had the best luck with Whirlpool appliances. Got a buddy that sells them and another pal that is the WP repair man for the area.

I just replaced the dishwashers rubber gloves; mines working fine.
Same thing here, mine works fine. But I gotta admit, sometimes I wish she had an off switch.

When I bought the house I now live in there was an old range, no fridge and no dishwasher. Dad lives in a retirement community in Hendersonville and they replace all the appliances when ever a new resident moves in. I asked Dad to check to see if I could buy used appliances from them and i got an (almond) range (GE), fridge with icemaker (GE), and Almond dishwasher (GE). I paid $50 each for the range and fridge and $25 for the dishwasher. Later, I bought new appliances for the range and fridge and sold off the old ones for at least what I had in them, but I have now been using that $25 dishwasher for seven years now. Maybe someday I'll have my money's worth out of it. When I remodeled the kitchen, I replaced the almond panel in the dishwasher door with a maple plywood to match the cabinets.
Whew!!! I thought for a minute that your wife had died! Glad you're talking about a kitchen appliance.

Same as me. Mine died last year. Started to do the dishes by hand and I haven't fixed it yet. Don't plan on fixing it any time soon.
