Dynamic Dual

Recently acquired this pair from an estate sale...
First is a 1980 Model 38 in Nickel
Second is a 1977 Model 60 Stainless

Both came with the original purchase paperwork, box and Smith and Wesson papers, cleaning rods etc...

Never fired

I'm not a J frame kind of guy, but they seem to be growing on me.

What do you think?

I added the 3rd Smith I picked up at the same estate sale... So i guess it was the triple crown..lol Check it out, the original sales receipt was in each box. Model 66 with ammo and a holster was just over $200 bucks in 1980 when it was purchased.

Nice find, and welcome to the forum. A couple months ago a fellow brought a 38-2 to my tables. It is the satin nickel with the logo on the side plate and other minor changes.

Nice finds, especially with all the goodies! I almost bought this minty nickel Model 38 (no dash) from my son's gun store for $550, but I'm just not a J-frame guy. My mitts are pretty big, and the trigger guards of vintage J-frames always bash into my middle finger when shooting them with the small stocks. It doesn't matter how securely I hold them. One of my EDC revolvers is a 642-2, and I don't have a problem with that one. But Model 36s, 38s, etc...just beat up my fingers. I'll stick to K-frame and N-frames. Enjoy those nice revolvers!

Nice pair of guns. Despite living in a very gun friendly community all I ever see at estate sales is rusty tools, dusty books and old housewares and nick nacks

I go to a lot of estate sales regularly and have never found anything like those. Every now and then, there would be an old single shot .22 rifle or shotgun that looked like they had been left out in the rain for six months and usually way overpriced. Once years ago, I was at one and they had two Colt Single Action Army revolvers, supposedly factory engraved and in presentation boxes for sale at $12,000 each!!! The estate sale person said they were a steal at those prices. Not for me they weren't. Great find, thanks for showing. Both quality firearms.

I would say very nice snag; indeed, sort of like two fish on one hook. Both of them look quite handsome, little/un used - and such a treat to have the packing materials as well.
