Does anyone have this grip on your j frame?
How do you like it, how is the fit?

I have then on my 44s. They are thin and leave the back and bottom open. I like the minimal coverage. The checkering gives a good hold.

Edit- awake enough to see you asked about j frames, oops.

Not on a j-frame.....
but, did have them on a K frame 66 snub, in Ebony (don't think they do Ebony anymore :()
Excellent fit and finish! (and customer service)

They are slow to ship right now (placed an order for a Ruger on Jan 22nd, still no grips)
here's some pics of the sweet ebony Secret Service:

I've got the uncheckered ones on my 642. I like them fine. They fit the hand nicely and work well for shooting.

The fit is not great. The grip on one side is a little short of the frame--not much but it is a little short. Other than that the fit is fine. Does not affect functionality.

The gun is a user and gets a lot of pocket time, so I don't worry about the looks that much.

I have an older smooth set on my 43C. They are perfect for a J Frame .22 that has no recoil. I tried them on my 940 but could barely hold on to the gun during recoil.

The fit was horrendous with gaps everywhere that had to be built up with epoxy. They were not mine originally; if I were the original owner I probably would've returned them to Eagle and demanded a refund. Because of this I'm reluctant to buy anything more from Eagle. Hopefully they have cleaned up their quality control by now.

Hey David,
I think they just may have cleared up their QC issues....
As I have had Secret Service grips on a 66 and couldn't believe how perfect they fit....
as well as a Ruger Birdshead revolver, and again, hard to believe how outstanding the fit and finish were!
(I'll be sure to report back soon, as another set for a Ruger Vaquero Sheriff 44 are in the mail...)

I have a set of checkered on my 640 and love them. Fit and feel is great. I'm about to buy two more sets for my other J frames.
