Early M25-2 box

Just received my new to me 1964 vintage M25-2. Standard gun, all target. How come it doesn't fit? Target hammer sticks up too high. Big Larry

The revolver was probably shipped with the stocks unattached and wrapped in brown tissue paper. I assume the box is numbered to the revolver.

Yes Doc. White grease pencil. I haven't taken the stocks off yet to look for any numbers or dates. Thanks, Big Larry
