I can tell you my neighbor across the street had the 1k watt Eden Pure and did have a problem. They replaced the heater. 2 years ago I purchased 2 CZ (comfort zone) brand 1500 watt heaters. One for him and one for me and we have not had a problem. Infrared heat is different feeling. We both use them in our RV's and they work real good. The minute I brag on the heaters they will quit probably but so far so good. My brother bought one of the less expensive brands and had to return it. Don't remember the brand. I hope this helps.
From a utility background, 1500 watts is 1500 watts. It might originate from a milk house heater, a small baseboard, big light bulbs or an Eden pure but it is still the same energy. Pay $35 or $400 for it, it is your choice.
I was a certified repairman on these heaters for 10 years, find a different way to heat unless you just want to buy a expensive endtable, I probably had atleast 15 a day to repair when I did it, I won't touch one again. They are way overrated and very poorly designed. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks everybody! I do understand the notes on wattage and thought this sounded too good to be true I just wanted some stories from people who actually own one.
I am presently looking for a house near a small, useable natural gas well that has enough pressure at the well head to supply heat for my home rather inexpensively;anyone know of a place like that?
I got one a few weeks ago and have been pleased. We don't have Dakota Winters so it doesn't take much in my little place. The jury has not been polled but mine has a 5 year warrenty and is all USA made
