Educate me on 3 inch K frames

3" revolver seem popular in the forum. Why doesn't smith and Ruger bring them back?

Question; are the only 3" currently produced the SP101 by Ruger and the M60 & 686 by S&W?
Edit: excluding .22's and other brands.

I've shot both of those Smiths and thought the M60 too light (esp for .357) and the 686 to heavy for CC...just my .02. My favorite shooter right now is the 4" 64 I just got. I think I'd jump on a 3" 64.

For Ruger add the 3" GP100 to your list.

For S&W add the currently in production 629 to your list. I think there are a few more but Smith adds and drops models faster that I used to eat donuts. ;)

Here's...

...a new one (to me). Model 65-5, Uncle Mike's Combat Grips.
