A classy gentleman and a good actor. Knew a good deal about luxury automobiles. Passed early this morning of brain cancer.
One of my favorites.

Rest in Peace Edward--I liked anything I saw him on.....I HOPE........, 2015 aint going to be a "busy" year....

Fine stage, film, TV and voice actor, and by all accounts a really nice man.

He was wonderful as FDR in "Eleanor And Franklin", and voicing him in the Ken Burns piece "The Roosevelts".

The History Channel and others have lost one of the best voice-over narrators ever.

Another really good one gone.

One of the all time character actors with occasional starring roles in smaller productions.

If I recall?/I think he was the one that hosted that Biography series on A&E??? I always enjoyed the show and whatever I saw him appear on.

OP: Appreciate the notification. Surprised to learn he was only 71 years old, I would have thought him much older. Also surprised to see he had such a large catalog of film work; I only saw him in "Lost Boys." I wonder how many documentaries he narrated: the number is certainly in the 100s, if not greater.

Sadly, I also read he and his wife had recently sued his accountant for misappropriation of $14.5 million dollars. You can't blink, can you?

You're right, I forgot about that. I liked him in Lost Boys and the one he made with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. He was a rich guy partying on his yacht after his bitch wife went overboard. Oh! That's the name of the movie, Overboard. One of the bimbos he partied with was a dumb blond named Tofutti.
