EGW Mount for S&W 617 Red Dot Sight

Wondering if anyone has used the EGW mount for installing a Red Dot Sight on their revolver with (3) factory drilled holes in top strap? Just picked up a 617-6 22LR and wanted to be able to shoot in local pistol league. I'm old enough not to be able to see the partridge sights so good. Probably getting a Vortex Venom for RDS. Comments welcome.

The Weigatinny workers perfectly. It sits in the sight channel, so it does not mar the top of your revolver. When you take it back off, you can’t tell it was ever there , unlike some mounts that rest on the top strap.

I scoped my 4 inch 617 for a while. Mind boggling how well that 617 shot with a 2X Leupold. Sub 3 inche, 5 shot groups at 100 yards more than once.

I have the Allchin on my 617. It is a perfect fit.

I've used the RMR mount from Allchin on several revolvers including S&W revolvers. I like to pair it with the Holosun 507 with dual reticles that has the RMR footprint.

I have the EGW mount on two Ruger revolvers with no problems. Makes shooting better for these old eyes, Thanks.

Ordered the Allchin mount and Speed Beez loading block and speedloader. Looks like a better loading solution. Thanks for the inputs.

I have the Allchin mount on an N frame 625. Works great. You won't be disappointed.
