I'm considering a holster from these guys for my 442. Anyone have any first hand knowledge of their concealment type stuff ?

Specifically looking at either their High Slide model or the Combat Express. Both are OWB holsters.

I have a few E.P.S. holsters but they are for my Colt SAA Revolvers (Cowboy Action Shoots). They are OK for the money, but certainly not the best, IMHO. For weekend Cowboy Shoots, they are fine, but after owning them for 15 years I would personally opt for something of a higher quality for CCW.

Just my opinion of course.......

My Street Combat is perfect for my N Frame revolvers and Redhawk. They all fit into the same holster. But such a holster is overkill for a J Frame. I believe a J Frame belongs in a pocket and not on a belt.

I would check out the Lobo site before spending my money. Look at his Model 1 Pancake as well as the Enhanced Pancake.

I would probably go with an Enhanced Pancake.
Add Optional Inner Hammer Shield $5.
Choice of colors, I like Medium Tan myself.
Detail Boned Standard on the Enhanced Pancake.
I get all of mine for a 1.5" belt.

By the way I have 9 of Ray's holsters, 8 are Pancakes. My brother has 4 or 5.

The Lobo Pancakes are not a generic fit holster. If you get it for a 442, it fits 2" J Frames only.
Wait is normally 6-8 weeks.
Order by e-mail, get a price confirmation back from Ray, and mail him a check. Simple as that.

I think you will prefer a Lobo over an El Paso. You should get a much better fit to the gun. I have had no quality issues at all with Lobo. I wear one of his holsters almost daily.

I use ElPaso Hi-slides for both 45 Gov't and 681 3in. Performance Center 357 and could not be more pleased.

I have an El Paso Yaqui slide for a 1911. It's top quality and expensive.

Ray Cory made me one, along with a combo mag pouch/flashlight holder, for less than the 'Slide. Now, granted, I didn't have him fancy it up, but we're coming up on 3years of every day carry with ZERO issues. You do what you want (I always did;)) but I sure wish that money had gone to Ray, I'd be happier.

The reality of it is that your probably going to end up like the rest of us, with a bag full of holsters that all work ok, but very few that you'll brag about.:D

Check out a Galco combat master...High and tight with no straps to mess with. Holds your piece solid and won't fall out. I use this holster for my 66 2.5" and there is no waiting time to have one built. Perfect off duty holster for those on the job or retired............thin blue line is solid brother!

El Passo Saddlery Holsters are second to none, however their holsters are mostly for OWB. I own a "Thumbreak" and a "Double Agent" for my N frames, and I am very satisfied with them. I did buy a Galco High Slide for my model 24 at my LGS, and it works just fine.

I have an EPS "Double Agent" for my 66 2 1/2". I don't like it. I usually don't buy open top holsters but the hammer on this gun is bobbed so I got it. I don't think it holds the gun securely enough even with the tension screw adjusted. I wish they made a Blackhawk Serpa for K frames....

I have tried a couple of different El Paso holsters for Sigs. I find that the leather is not stiff enough , and in a year or two, they sag and collapse. Lots of better makers for the money. Look at Galco or Safariland for big makers, or any of the host of smaller custom shops.
