Elk on blue, lets see yours

For some reason, to me, stag grips don't look right on a DA revolver...but after buying my first set of elk accidentally, elk antler, with or without bark looks amazing on a blued K frame

I brought this 18-2 home today, It was advertised as having "replacement stag grips" for a sweet price and I thought "now that's the best looking pair of plastic grips I've ever seen, for that price they cant be real".

Turns out they werent stag, or even trying to be stag. They are genuwine elk antler, and boy does the color compliment a blued gun.

Until now I was a factory original or go home" kind of guy, but these have certainly changed my mind.
Anyways, thanks for reading, I hope you like them as much as I do.

Richard: I don't want to hijack this thread, but I noticed that you had a few ports drilled into the barrel of your .38/44 Outdoorsman, probably by a "shade tree gunsmith". The first Model 28 that I purchased years ago (at a local gun show) had similar ports drilled into the barrel so I was able to buy it relatively cheap. I contacted Mag-Na-Port to see if they could machine those drilled port holes into actual Mag-Na-Ports, but they informed me that they could not due to their machining process. Oh well. Anyway, I can live with it as is, although those drilled ports don't seem to affect recoil to any great extent.
