PLEASE CLOSE. BOXES FOUND.
My wife came home today with a pair of table lamps that are glass with a removable top. The wiring (in a brass tube) goes down the center, leaving roughly a 2.5 inch space for your favorite stuff. She plans to put seashells and beach glass in hers. Since my hobby is guns, primarily .22lr bench rest, I'm thinking about filling mine with empty .22 boxes. I go through a lot of .22's but I haven't kept the boxes and I mostly shoot Wolf Match Extra which is not very colorful (black actually).
I would buy your used empty boxes. Eley has a lot of different .22 ammo in colorful boxes (a little pricey for practice). It would be fun to put some old-timey boxes in (Peters, Remington, Winchester) but I wouldn't want to put anything collectible in a lamp.
Let me know what you have lying around and what you want for it. I think it would be wise to open both ends and flatten cardboard boxes for shipping. A lot of ammo these days comes in plastic but is still light.
