A friend of mine just retired as a local LEO, he was cleaning out his safe as he is trying to relocate to the lovely state of Texas. he pulled out this revolver an old V prefix serial #, this gun has had a lot of time spent engraving it and I was wondering if anyone had an idea of where it may have been done. i was thinking in Germany before a GI brought it home maybe. It is a really nice piece, the grips are Ivory and are beautiful.

Thank You very much Pete.

I don't have an answer for you, but the grips are gorgeous!

Sent from somewhere between the Ohio territory & the neutral zone.

Beautiful gun! I tend to agree on the possibility of Germany with that style of engraving. That's one I'd be proud to take to a BBQ.

I agree.I have a 1948 K22,engraved in Germany circa 1954(The original owner was an officer stationed there at that time). While mine has a different motif,(oak leaves)it shares the engine turned hammer and trigger feature.
