Hey Team,

I have a chance to pick up an engraved Walther PPK/S from a friend today but we really don't know much about these or the engraving that has been done to it. I assume this is a Smith and Wesson production gun, as the prior owners description was " This piece was built and engraved for Walther by Smith & Wesson for trade shows." My friend received it in a trade and doesn't like guns that are engraved.

Does anyone know the validity of this or does anyone have any pertinent information information on this firearm? What would you value this at with 2 mags, no box and an old German leather holster?

Edit: I think this is the same Walther in the Archives. Product: ARCHIVE: Model PPK/S - Machine Engraved

Thanks

Grip length looks like it's a PPK - maybe the angle the photo was taken at throws me off.

Look at the edges of the backstrap beyond the wood of the grip. It's a PPK/S.

It's nice looking, but it is a .380. Were it mine, I would have someone manufacture a custom fitted barrel in .32 NAA and load it as hot as the cartridge (and platform) would permit. I'd be looking for as much penetration as I could obtain from the round. Penetrating and perforating the vital organs, ladies and gentlemen, is what accomplishes the mission!
