eotech and magnifier

That's not a scope, it's a toy and quite possibly illegal for you to import. And since you are ordering it from China you will most likely be considered the importer and therfore liable for any problems such as copy right and patent emfringment issues.

Read the reports. One of them says that the scope turns off from the recoil of the gun! This is a cheap knock off and while a lot of people on this forum seem to like cheap knock offs do yourself a favor and buy a real EoTech if that's the scope you want.

I have a 5x magnifier for my eotech clone, but the eyerelief is so low that i cant get it to work for me, my head needs to be on top of the rail in order to use it, so i tossed it in a corner.

reelman, i'm sure everyone would agree that the real deal is better, but you cant always know if people can afford it.

knockoffs are a reasonable option for the 22, the recoil is so low that the knockoffs can handle it.

As for the legal-issue, cant help you there.

i appreciate the comments...but im not going to invest in a real deal eotech. ($$$). just wanted to know if anyone had a set up like this one and if it worked relatively well...:D

Sightmark® Reflex Style Sight | Sights | Optics | Scheels

the picture on the far right is the reflex sight I am using...less than $100...lasts quite a few range sessions on battery...you will also need a riser (Scheels also has them on their websitefor about $20)

this is another option besides the Chinese knockoffs

check out primaryarms.com

they have house brand aimpoint clones that are outstanding and cheap.

Under 100 dollars they cant be beat

Aside from the import issues and this being a knock-off, I have seen real EOTech optics fail due to recoil. The battery contacts will start to "miss" and it typically happens under fire (maybe not with a 15-22, and maybe not every EOTech model. It's a function of how the batteries are seated in the device, which tends to loosen up. However, with that said, I would buy once, cry once, and buy a real EOTech before I bought that Chinese made item. And with that said, I would buy Aimpoint. I have paid my share on a couple of knock-offs and every one of them ran for under a year, so now I own four Aimpoint optics (M2, ML2, and two C3s) and a Vortex Sparc.

If someone is looking for a reasonably priced optic for the 15-22, I use the Vortex Sparc on the 15-22. It's lightweight, easy to operate, looks good, and comes with a 2x magnifier (kind of narrows the eye relief, but enhances the target fine). The Vortex can be had for about $179-199 and if you can score a coupon code with SWFA, Brownells, etc. you can get a better deal. i do believe that i am going to have to make some room in the budget next month to pick one of those little guys up at the local Scheels--the $99 reflex on the 15-22 now will be a nice addition to the Buckmark i have been eyeballing :D

Definitely go take a look at the Primary Arms options, they even sell an Eotech clone if you're set on that style of optic and you can match it up with their new affordable 3x magnifier with flip to side mount (nitrogen purged, mil-spec). Plus they offer a satisfaction guarantee policy so if it doesn't work out; ship it back and you'll get a refund. Their best red dot values are their own line of Aimpoint clones which are manufactured directly under their specifications. I believe Marshall from PA actually flies to China once in a while to make sure the factory is up to standards in regards to QA. Plus you get a 1 year warranty from him directly. I have a M4 clone myself and it works fine and holds zero perfectly even on my 5.56/.223 carbine.

The Vortex stuff are another great option if you want some 'real' optics from a reputable company; they're a price level higher than Primary Arms (who also sells Vortex).

From what I've experienced in regards to shopping from AliExpress, it is a pain (bought magpul and troy mbus clones). Waiting 3 weeks for your item to arrive via SAL airmail is not worth the money savings plus if there's ever anything wrong with the items, you pretty much threw your money away. The quality of the items I bought were never that great anyway, not even near as good as Primary Arms stuff let alone the real deal.

Leapers Red/Green dot scope I have pics/writeup on in this thread. <$40 with riser and works flawlessly. Don't splurge on a aimpoint or Eo when this does the same thing for a smidge of the cost. I have had it ahwile now and have abused it and it holds zero and has held up great. I have used it on my 5.56 XM177 and it holds up fine to that recoil as well.

I love how people call them clones! They are fake copies, how US Customs doesn't consider them to be counterfiet is beyond me. Aimpoint and EoTech spent a lot of money developing these sights, buying fake copies of them obviously made to look like them is just enforcing this dishonest trend.

I have a "true" EoTech 552 and 3x Multiplier and they both work flawless on mine.

No pics but its on a Realtree 15-22 with Magpul pistol grip, Magpul front grip, Magpul CTS stock, Magpul AFG V2, SureFire Scout light.

nice. would you be able to upload a pic...id love to see the setup!!!

I have found that if I had just saved up and bought the real thing that I would be ahead in funds from all the cheap garbage optics I have bought over the years. I have personally used an Eotech on an M2HB and it never shut off. I don't remember how it was mounted as in if it used a drilled and tapped rail or welded and if the Eo still had its factory clamp or a different one. I just know it took the beating and we had a pallet of boxes of linked ammo to train with. If battery springs are failing I would point at operators who are getting rough with them before I say that is a fail point.

Definitely go take a look at the Primary Arms options

I have three Primary Arms optics. Two MicroDots and a Compact 4x. These are used for recreational shooting and they work great! Ain't no way I would drop over $2000.00 to replace them with two Aimpoints and an ACOG. The soda cans and shotgun shells would not know the difference.

I got an AR look-alike rifle... seems to me that an Aimpoint look-alike optic is a perfect match.

I have seen the setup at a gun show. Almost no eye relief with the magnified optic and it created a trail/tail off the red dot. Bulky, heavy...
