Equalizer EZ?

My wife is a little 5-2 67 year old lady and has no issues racking a kimber ultra 9.. or a her old m&p 9c and p365xl .

But for those folks that just need help there are rack assist that can be added to many pistols slides rather than buy another handgun .

I do know these EZ pistols have an odd grip angle , far more like the Tokarov that anything american .

Sootch says the mags are interchangeable with the Shield Plus. Interesting. I think I'd be more interested in the EQ than the CSX but I'm pretty much done buying 9mms.

"I don't get calling it "Equalizer"..."

Hey at least I'll know what it is, instead of so many new pistols with names like Mxyzptlk 423.

I feel the same way about Glock's numbering system. Glock 44 is a .22 caliber handgun. 🤣

I'm waiting to see how many people color fill the EQUALIZER letters. 🤣

Also that grip doesn't look like the standard S&W 18° grip angle.

I have an EZ9 and so far not bobbles at all with factory loads or my hand loads. I like it , even has a decent trigger pull cause it has a hammer I guess. I won't get the Equalizer just for a few more rounds altho the bigger handle would help me a little tho.

Glocks are numbered in order of introduction, or nearly so.

S&W literature says 18° and the one I handled seemed to come up on point like my usual 1911.

Got hands-on with one at a LGS this afternoon. Still has the EZ-effort on the slide. Mags are clearly Shield Plus pattern. Even with the flush-mount, I could still get a 3-finger grip....but a pinky-hook floor-plate would be best. Kinda like the CSX in size of the frontstrap. Box did have 3 mags and the Uplula tool. Safety was 'meh', as it is on the M&P series so-equipped. Trigger also meh...just at with the EZ's. Perhaps it will smooth out. Receipt from Davidson's was left out on the counter, LOL...$431 dealer-cost, FYI.

Just run out & buy one...
The Performance Center "Equalizer II" Plus will be out soon enough
Ported barrel & night sights + ???
Nice how they took away the ease of magazine loading + added the 10-13-15-round magazines & UpLula
One major problem with the EZs was magazine tension causing last round malfunctions
I'd like to shoot one of these but won't run out & buy one
Don't need a sixth Shield YET

Well, now we know why S&W just looked up and away and wouldn't maintain eye contact while they were answering questions about problems with the original EZ mags - "What problems?" "We aren't aware of any problems . . . "; "Oh, that's just a myth from a few isolated complainers on gun forums" "Nothing to see here, folks, just move along".

Their bean counters got together with their engineers and said, "Well, it's too much hassle, expense, and liability to admit the original design sucks and to make it work, so we'll just adapt a 'new' model around a mag we know already works. We'll add some extras and change the cosmetics a bit and shout NEW & IMPROVED ! and they'll forget all about it. Especially if we can add more rounds to it - that ALWAYS gets em ! ;)"

. . and the band plays on . . . .

I bought a BRAND NEW 380EZ Magazine & it has a much stronger spring than the original one does...
Going to call customer service Monday & get a couple 380EZ magazine springs rolling my way + a couple other goodies
Going to ask about the 15-round Equalizer Magazines too, = HOW MUCH?

The Mxyzptlk 423 from Elbonia is a fine weapon, even if it has a funny name. Don't knock it until you've tried it.;)

Went to the LGS yesterday and they had one in stock. I played with it and liked it well enough that it came home with me. Once I got it home and started messing with it I discovered that the reset is iffy. Sometimes it works just fine, sometimes the hammer follows the slide, and sometimes the hammer stays back but the trigger doesn't reset.

Read many favorable reviews so I bought Equalizer at store/range and shot a box of Winchester White Box. Very favorable opinion. Never had grip safety before, and when I held it I didn't even notice it was there. Grip fit my small hand, so recoil no problem even tho gun is light. Shot low and to the left, self diagnosis is my errors with a new pistol. Think I was both anticipating recoil and squeezing grip as I pulled trigger. Slide very easy for my old hands to rack.
